Biography

Christine Reno holds the PhD in Romance Languages from Yale University. In the French and Francophone Studies Department, she teaches a wide range of courses in language, literature and culture, with current focuses on translation and stylistics, pre-Revolutionary French literature and the Québécois novel. Prof. Reno also teaches in the Medieval and Renaissance Studies and the Women's Studies programs. A specialist in late medeival French literature and medieval French manuscripts, she recently co-edited, with Liliane Dulac of the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, Christine de Pizan's Livre de l'Advision Cristine (Paris: Honoré Champion, 2001), and is working with an international team of scholars on a study of all the manuscripts of Christine de Pizan's works copied under the author's supervision.
